A joint declaration on the establishment in Bulgaria of an Agricultural Cooperation Demonstration Zone between China and Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) was signed on May 23.

Zhang Taolin, China's Vice-Minister of Agriculture, and Tzvetan Dimitrov, Bulgaria's Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Food and Forestry, signed the declaration in the presence of Chinese Ambassador to Bulgaria Zhang Haizhou.

According to the declaration, the setup of the zone aims strengthen the cooperation between China and the 16 CEE countries in agriculture.
