CHINA’S FIRST EBOLA VACCINE GOES INTO CLINICAL TRIAL

According to the People's Liberation Army General Logistics Department, China’s first Ebola vaccine developed by the Institute of Biotechnology of the Academy of Military Medical Sciences and Tianjin CanSino Biotechnology Inc was recently put into clinic trial. It is the third Ebola vaccine put into trial after vaccines from the USA and Canada. It is also the first transgenic Ebola vaccine in the world in 2014, which is a breakthrough of major infectious disease prevention and control technology.

 

In recent years, new emerging and emergent infectious diseases frequently broke out and caused severe harm. Technologies for infectious disease and new drugs have made achievements in genetic engineering the anthrax vaccine and new influenza vaccine through research and development technology platforms for vaccines that combine production, study and research.
